Health Physics Technician Jr. - Intern

Responsibilities
Responsible for assessment of airborne and/or surface contamination and radiation levels, and reinforcing established radiological controls for station activities
Job duties include performing routine and special health physics tasks such as plant radiological surveillance and control, radiological surveys, dose assessment, instrument source response checks, radiological records and appropriate filing
Actively participate in the completion of their OJT/OJE tasks assigned
Function within an assigned crew from a Health Physics Control Point during either a refueling outage or an operating fuel cycle, and perform other tasks as required
Qualification
Required
Requires a high school diploma or GED
At least six months of a vocational/trade school program specialized in radiation safety
