Events & Development Coordinator (1.0 FTE)

Neighborcare Health is dedicated to removing barriers to health care for the community, and they are seeking a Development Coordinator to support strategic fundraising initiatives. The role involves managing fundraising campaigns, events, and donor relationships while providing administrative support to the Chief of Community Engagement.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate donor records in the development database (Raiser’s Edge), process gifts, generate reports, reconcile donations, and prepare timely donor acknowledgements and correspondence
Contribute to tracking fundraising metrics, analyzing data, and supporting the implementation of fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals
Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events by coordinating logistics, tracking project budgets, communicating with internal/external stakeholders, and handling follow-up tasks
Prepare materials such as newsletters, appeal letters, mailers, flyers, social media and other communications to engage donors, staff and partners
Provide day-to-day support to the Chief of Community Engagement and Development team by maintaining organized files and records, taking meeting notes, managing calendars, preparing meeting materials, and handling internal and external correspondence
Support the smooth functioning of office operations by managing inventory and supplies, processing invoices, and maintaining internal systems such as the organization’s website and intranet site, including content updates

Required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact to diverse audiences
Skills in time management and problem-solving
Ability to work resourcefully in an independent working environment
Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to set up and maintain organized and efficient office systems
Ability to understand the fund development process and to work with other staff members to further Neighborcare's goals within the process
Valid Washington State driver's license with proof of automobile insurance

Preferred

Experience with Raisers Edge or other donor database preferred
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in the humanities, or a related field
2-years experience in marketing or fundraising, and fundraising events
