This hands-on leadership role involves architecting scalable platforms, writing production code, and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

Act as the CTO’s primary technical counterpart and escalation point
Lead architecture and design decisions across backend, frontend, APIs, and data layers
Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns
Evaluate and introduce new technologies where they provide clear business value
Design, build, and maintain high-performance .NET-based systems
Develop and review backend services, APIs, and background services
Contribute to modern front-end applications (React, Angular, or similar)
Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security
Translate business requirements into technical plans and deliverables
Own complex initiatives from design through deployment
Balance technical debt with feature delivery
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team
Lead code reviews focused on quality and maintainability
Support hiring, onboarding, and technical assessments

Required

8+ years of professional software engineering experience
5+ years of deep experience with C# and modern .NET
Proven experience scaling production systems
Strong knowledge of SQL, cloud platforms, and CI/CD

Preferred

Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments
Background working closely with executive leadership
Experience modernizing legacy systems
