Responsibilities
Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the web application
Lead requirements elicitation and functional analysis, translating complex business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on business value, risk, and technical dependencies
Act as the primary interface between senior business stakeholders and the development team
Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Provide ongoing clarification of functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, usability)
Review, validate, and accept deliverables against defined acceptance criteria
Support testing, UAT, release planning, and production go-live activities
Communicate product progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in web application development
Strong expertise in requirements management, functional documentation, and backlog prioritization
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of web application architectures, APIs, and system integrations
Experience across the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, and release
Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to make strategic product decisions while balancing business objectives and technical constraints
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Prefer candidates local to Plano or Frisco, TX area, expecting to work from office 3 days a week
