Research Assistant
University of Utah is seeking a Research Assistant to support the HOPE study within the Division of Epidemiology's Program for Addiction Research. The role involves engaging with study participants, conducting assessments, maintaining research records, and ensuring compliance with study protocols.

Responsibilities
Serve as a first point of contact for study participants and provide professional, compassionate interaction throughout the research process
Conduct structured phone‑based assessments with enrolled participants at designated study time points
Maintain study blinding and follow all study‑specific confidentiality and protocol requirements
Accurately document participant interactions and ensure adherence to regulatory and study documentation standards
Review questionnaires for accuracy and completeness; verify data with participants as needed
Complete mental‑health and safety screenings and ensure all required follow‑up procedures are conducted promptly
Maintain organized research records in compliance with university and regulatory policies
Support scheduling of participant visits and maintain study calendars
Monitor supply inventory and assist in ordering materials when necessary
Transport study materials, including traveling to off‑site locations as needed
May be required to obtain and use a notary license to notarize study‑related forms
Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor to support research operations
