Responsibilities
Support initiatives to mature, enhance, audit, and improve the SAM program through data collection, documentation, and process efficiencies
Assist in developing and maintaining automated processes for collecting, storing, and reporting software asset data, including SOPs and Work Instructions
Collaborate with IT teams on SAM-related data sources, discovery tools, APIs, and system integrations
Maintain and manage databases for software assets, licenses, warranties, services, and lease agreements
Track, analyze, and report software asset data; identify trends; and develop dashboards for KPIs, compliance insights, and cost optimization opportunities
Support software asset lifecycle management, including data validation, reconciliation, audits, and discovery accuracy
Provide licensing support, assist with license metric design, and support SAM tool administration and data maintenance
Track software compliance issues, support remediation efforts, prepare audit documentation, and generate compliance and usage reports
Support stakeholders across application leadership, security, engineering, enterprise architecture, vendor management, finance, contracting, and end users
Promote continuous improvement through innovation, adoption of best practices, and knowledge sharing
Participate in ongoing learning and training initiatives; identify opportunities to optimize underutilized IT assets
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM)
Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), including remediation, software data analysis, and compliance metrics
Experience developing ITAM standards, processes, and documentation
Proven experience delivering complex ITAM projects successfully and on time
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to large and diverse audiences
Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including performance metrics, financial analysis, capacity reporting, and automation improvements
Excellent collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills across organizational levels
Ability to lead group problem-solving initiatives with minimal supervision
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
Additional 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM)
Experience building or maturing an ITAM/SAM program, including processes and data structures
Strong stakeholder and client relationship management with proactive expectation handling
Experience training stakeholders on governance, SAM, and ITAM concepts
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro / SAM Pro, including administration, compliance, and asset management
Experience working closely with Finance, Vendor Management, and Contracting teams
Experience in the Healthcare industry
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
