Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Compliance Coordinator ADMINISTRATOR I
The Maryland Department of Budget and Management is seeking an individual to fill the position of Administrator I (Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Coordinator) in the Office of the Statewide EEO Coordinator. The role involves providing administrative support, coordinating training for the EEO community, and managing databases to track training requirements and EEO program information.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Serving as the primary on-site office contact for the Office of the Statewide EEO Coordinator to provide administrative support such as greeting customers, answering telephones, checking mail, filing, scanning, special projects, and other duties as assigned
Coordinating training for the statewide Equal Employment Opportunity Community
Assisting the Statewide EEO Coordinator, Senior EEO Compliance Officer and EEO Compliance Officer as needed
Designing, developing and managing databases to track mandatory training requirements and other unit-specific data
Collecting and analyzing statistics and state agencies’ EEO program information to produce the Annual Statewide Equal Employment Opportunity Report
Producing the Managing for Results Report annually and the EEO-4 Report, a mandatory biennial data collection
Supporting the Department of Budget and Management’s mission and goal to have a high-quality workforce that reflects the diversity of the State and provides efficient and sound government to the citizens of Maryland
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Four years of administrative staff or professional work
Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience
Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland
Preferred
Experience/Knowledge of Federal and State of Maryland Civil Rights laws
One to two years of experience designing, developing and managing multiple databases using Excel or similar software
One to two years of experience working independently on projects
One year experience assisting with EEO investigations
