Systems Engineering (Aircraft Avionics Engineer)
STS Government Solutions, LLC (SGS) is a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several federal agencies and military installations across the U.S. SGS is currently seeking an Avionics Engineer to support their ongoing mission at Hill AFB, UT. The role involves technical requirements, design, development, integration, and sustainment of avionics systems to ensure operational safety and effectiveness.

Responsibilities
Responsible for technical requirements, design, development, integration, test, and sustainment of avionics, data networks, and interfaces covering airborne vehicle and ground control station avionics systems to ensure OSS&E
Provides technical expertise for effective integration of aircraft avionics systems including but not limited to flight management systems, mission computers, controls and displays, data buses, air data systems, attitude heading and reference systems, navigation sources, radar altimeters, transponders, voice/data radios, radars, electronic warfare, other mission and vehicle management systems, and diagnostics systems across Air Force platforms both manned and unmanned
Provides functional specific knowledge to address complex avionics integration tasks in the areas of mission and safety critical functional design, performance, and verification; determinism of data networks; integrity of safety critical parameters for display or further system control processing; vehicle control; redundancy; fault tolerance; failure modes, effects, notification and management; resource management; aircraft environmental constraints; and avionics integrity to achieve high reliability, long-life, safe operation and supportability of avionics in operational environments
Coordinates with cross functional areas and applies system engineering across engineering domains including air system computer systems and software, flight controls, vehicle subsystems, and human factors to ensure seamless avionics integration at the weapon system level
Provides technical mentoring to strengthen and train the AFLCMC engineering workforce
Qualification
Required
TS/SCI clearance required
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
5+ years of recent relevant experience
