Responsibilities
Assist the US Senior Internal Auditor to execute audit programs to ensure compliance with applicable financial regulatory requirements
Document the processes and test key internal controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley for US and Mexico
Work with any external consultants that are engaged to assist in the field work
Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Present information to, and respond to questions from, internal customers
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situation where only limited standardization exists
Serves as an internal consultant to various local Finance teams to evaluate processes and procedures
Evaluate organizational needs and drives improvements in business processes to eliminate waste and improve overall controls
Travel up to 15% to sites within the US and the occasional travel to Mexico
Performs other duties as necessary in support of projects and departmental goals and objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from a four-year college or university
Minimum two years related experience in internal controls testing, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of auditing, US GAAP and current SEC requirements
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Strong overall interpersonal communication skills
Working towards or plan to work on CPA, CIA, or CMA certification
