Responsibilities
Report, write, and edit feature articles, profiles, and explanatory pieces for senior marketers
Translate complex ideas — especially around marketing, technology, and AI — into clear, useful, engaging stories
Write supporting assets such as scripts, briefs, and social copy tied to those features
Identify how written features should be adapted into short- and long-form video and social formats
Develop video concepts, outlines, and scripts that extend the core story
Partner with in-house video producers and editors to guide execution and maintain editorial quality
Help shape story angles, formats, and packages that serve both editorial goals and broader narrative priorities
Understand how content travels across platforms — especially social — and how different formats reinforce one another
Collaborate with editorial, product marketing, research, sales, and events teams
Support key launches, campaigns, and moments with strong editorial storytelling
Manage projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
Balance quality, speed, and stakeholder needs in a fast-moving environment
Keep up with trends in marketing, media, technology, and AI — and reflect that understanding in your work
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in journalism, media, or editorial content roles
Proven feature writer, ideally with experience at a major newsroom or respected publication
Strong editorial judgment and storytelling instincts
Experience conceiving and shaping video and social content tied to written features
Comfort working with video teams — even if you're not the one shooting or editing
A portfolio that clearly shows excellent writing and thoughtful multimedia storytelling
Independent, reliable, and comfortable owning work from idea to publication
Preferred
Familiarity with the digital advertising and marketing landscape is a strong plus
