Responsibilities

Lead and manage the local sales team, overseeing daily performance, professional development, and individual coaching through consistent mentorship
Recruit, orient, and train new sales professionals to maintain a high-performing, cohesive organization
Collaborate cross-functionally with the General Manager and Director of Design to align proposal processes with client needs and maximize win rates
Partner with the Events team to ensure client commitments are executed accurately and efficiently
Drive lead volume by leveraging hotel, CVB, and DMO partnerships and conducting targeted prospecting
Analyze market trends, supply and demand, and competitor activity to maintain high sales volume and optimal product mix
Act as the primary liaison for internal sales channels to maximize referral volume across regional offices

Required

7+ years of corporate event sales experience
Destination Management Company or Third Party Meeting/Incentive Company Experience
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop a diverse sales team
Strong strategic mindset with experience managing RFPs and complex proposal processes
Exceptional relationship-building skills with hotels, partner organizations, and internal stakeholders
Professional discretion and accountability when managing sensitive personnel or financial information
Ability to work on-site in New York City two days weekly
