Staff Accountant
Gasbarre Products Inc is a manufacturing operation seeking a Staff Accountant to support their day-to-day accounting and payroll functions. The role involves processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable activities, assisting with general ledger functions, and providing administrative support to Human Resources.

Responsibilities
Process bi weekly/weekly payroll accurately and on time
Maintain payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Prepare payroll related journal entries and reconciliations
Respond to employee payroll inquiries
Process vendor invoices and match to purchase orders and receiving documents
Maintain vendor records and resolve invoice discrepancies
Apply customer payments and monitor aging reports
Follow up on past-due accounts and support collection efforts
Assist with customer account setup
Assist with month end and year end close processes
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies
Support audits and internal controls
Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking as needed
Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain employee records and confidentiality
Support benefits administration and open enrollment
Track PTO, attendance, and related reporting
Assist with HR compliance documentation and reporting
Answering phones & greeting visitors
Data entry
Any other duties as directed / required
Qualification
Required

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
Proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems (Infor Visual & Paycom)
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting
Experience supporting HR functions
Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience processing payroll required
Working knowledge of AP and AR functions
