Responsibilities
Support the coordination and work activities of department personnel
Support the supervision in ensuring production commitments are met
Recommend, support, implement and ensure that safety is paramount in the department's performance
Perform job and safety training activities for all new department personnel
Monitor employee conformance with prescribed safety and quality regulations
Monitor the set-up of materials, equipment and staff to ensure success
Monitor quality checks to assure that the product is being produced within specifications
Review daily production schedule and plan work assignments to meet on-time shipping requirements
Lead employees in completing work assignments, ensuring completed product meets quality standards
Follow established materials procedures, and orders materials as required to ensure production is completed on-time
Ensure quality workmanship during all phases of production
Cross trains associates within department to ensure on-time requirements can be met without loss of effiency
Report promptly to department Supervisor when delays are expected. May be assigned to fill in for Supervisor when required
Maintain and promote safe working environment and maintain appropriate housekeeping standards within department
Seek solutions to resolve compliance issues and or safety concerns
Maintain positive customer, vendor, and coworker relationships
Cross training throughout the Production departments by assisting in all areas to achieve CIW/TCCI goals

Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive manufacturing line responsibility
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Experience in all job tasks and duties with the assigned department
Ability to read production documents
Ability to identify different parts, products, etc
Ability to operate equipment such forklift, electric pallet jack, crane, etc
Basic computer skills are required with a familiarity of Microsoft Office Products
