This temporary/seasonal position involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in various recreational activities, ensuring their engagement and supervision.

Responsibilities
Engage, interact, encourage, and supervise participants in activities
Attend required meetings and trainings related to the job
Ensure proper use of equipment, facilities, property, and supplies
Follow behavioral, communication, and medical plans of each participant
Follow directions, employment policies, and protocols
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 16 years of age
Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, creative, and patient
Ability to take instruction and work cooperatively in a team setting
A positive and fun attitude
Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with participants, families, coworkers, and supervisors
Preferred
Experience performing similar work
Work with children who have autism
Experience or interest in working with people who have developmental, intellectual, and/or physical disabilities
Background or interest in special education, recreation therapy, or related field
