Responsibilities

Lead and Train: Coach and develop a skilled welding team to meet production goals
Ensure Quality and Accuracy: Oversee welding operations to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction
Optimize Workflow: Manage scheduling and resources to ensure on-time delivery
Collaborate and Solve Problems: Work with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements
Safety First: Maintain and enforce strict safety practices to keep our team safe
Hands-On Production: Be ready to jump in and assist with welding and production work when needed
Schedule: Help to schedule manpower to ensure on time delivery
Other projects as needed
Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment holding self and others accountable to ASSA ABLOY standards
Assure compliance with federal, provincial, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

Qualification

Required

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience in welding & metal fabrication – You know the ins and outs of shop tools, equipment, and processes
Leadership skills – You have experience mentoring, training, and leading teams in a manufacturing setting
Problem-solving mindset – You take initiative and find solutions to keep things running smoothly
Attention to detail – Quality and precision matter to you
Physical capability – Able to lift up to 75 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a hands-on environment
Basic computer skills – Comfortable using digital tools for tracking and reporting
Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches
Experience using forklift, hand truck, etc. (certification required – training and testing provided if needed)

Preferred

Familiarity in First Aid a plus
