ETL Data Developer III
ECU Health is a mission-driven, 1,708-bed academic health care system serving more than 1.4 million people in eastern North Carolina. They are seeking an ETL Data Developer III to plan and supervise data integration activities, improve ETL processes, and mentor team members while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

Responsibilities
Recommend, design and lead the implementation of new ETL processes that add new data or improve existing processes to reduce latency and reduce cost
Has a deep understanding of all of the source file formats ingested and target data stores
Recommend and lead the implementation of improvements of our documentation of ETL processes
Work independently ensuring work efforts are properly aligned with ECU Health strategy
Apply business knowledge context to the data handled in the ETL processes, and recommend workflow changes to leverage that knowledge, while working closely with internal teams and partners on new integrations
Provide mentoring for less skilled team mates
Look for opportunities to implement new technologies to improve service while reducing costs
This position is required to rotate on-call responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelors required- or higher
One or more of the following certification required; Epic Clarity, Microsoft Data Management and Analytics, BI Development, Database Development, or Informatica
7+ years experience in an ETL administration or ETL/application development environment
Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following areas including 5 or more years of experience; ETL principles, Epic Clarity console, Epic Compass, Epic Clarity execution management, Epic Clarity data structures, Epic Cogito, Epic Universes, Epic Cubes, Epic Registries, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, or Informatica technology stack
Exhibits proficient in both SSIS or Informatica ETL tools
Provides team leadership in areas of expertise and key ETL initiatives
Experience leading project teams to design, implement and oversee implementation of new solutions in areas of expertise Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment
Independently motivated to seek knowledge in areas pertaining to their current position
3+ years applicable experience in the Healthcare / Health domain, or Insurance with good understanding of HIPAA data Privacy and Security requirements
Self-educates and seeks knowledge from mentors / management of VH Information
Expert level knowledge in writing SQL code for queries, stored procedures, data cleansing and manipulation
