Qualification
Required
College students who are pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree and have completed a minimum of two years (in other words, rising juniors and seniors)
Interest in data journalism, data science, political science, sociology or related fields
Experience working with data and in data analysis
A cover letter that addresses the following: (1) Describe why you are interested in an internship with Pew Research Center's Short Reads team. (2) Please discuss your professional aspirations and how this internship would align with your career trajectory. (3) Tell us about a research project you worked on (or an article you wrote) that you are especially proud of, and why (including any statistical analysis)
A resume, which should include a listing of relevant course work
