Responsibilities
Assist staff with the development, dissemination and promotion of public information materials for internal and external audiences
Research and gather information
Update existing documents, online directories and files
Take photos and assist with content management and photo archives
Assisting with planning events, conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, assisting with projects, preparing reports and presentations, attending internal and external stakeholders’ meetings, and field work
Qualification
Required
15 ½ years of age or older
Must be a United States citizen or have the current legal right to work in the United States
Must be enrolled in a continuing education, traditional education, or training program
Requirements vary and are based on the department and specific internship role
Must meet grant criteria for funding
Preferred
Experience or interest in communications, public and media relations, social media and graphic design
Strong organization and writing skills preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google and Canva
