Category Strategy Manager - Consumer Media
WorkGenius Group is an entertainment industry leader, and they are seeking a Category Strategy Manager to develop insights and strategies in consumer media. The role involves analyzing data, identifying trends, and collaborating with various teams to enhance client media strategies.

Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of consumer media trends, industry measurement solutions, and the competitive landscape, focusing on competitive media spending
Analyze syndicated data sources (e.g., MRI, Nielsen, YouGov, Ad Intel, SMI, EDO) to generate insights for client and category presentations
Translate data into compelling sales narratives and positioning materials for key sales priorities, leveraging strong storytelling skills
Identify and articulate consumer trends and revenue-driving opportunities to best position the client's portfolio of media assets
Serve as a liaison between Research, Category Strategy, and Sales teams to build measurement strategies aligned to client KPIs
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in advertising, media, and/or marketing; category experience preferred (7+ years a plus)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Agency or client-side media experience, or background in sales development/strategy at a media company
Experience across multi-platform media planning, buying, strategy, and measurement, with strength in addressable and data-driven solutions
Familiarity with R/F tools such as Nielsen Media Impact
