Mechanical Sales Engineer

They are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Sales Engineer to drive sales of data center thermal management products, focusing on solution development, system design support, and customer engagement.
Computer & Network Security

Responsibilities

Serve and grow an assigned territory consisting of Charlotte, NC and surrounding counties
Develop and maintain a strong network of client and industry contacts to identify new sales opportunities
Support an assigned list of customers with a strong focus on technically demanding clients such as consulting engineers and end users
Identify and engage new customers that enter your assigned territory
Communicate with customers to identify and understand their needs and develop custom tailored solutions to fit those needs
Maintain communication with established customers, alerting them to new technologies and industry trends that may be of interest
Provide post-sale support and resolve customer issues as they arise
Generate proposals and technical documentation to support sales efforts
Collaborate with internal sales colleagues on strategic account opportunities and cross-selling efforts
Participate in training and maintain current knowledge of product offerings and industry trends
Maintain CRM data, prepare sales forecasts, and provide regular reporting
Help develop and support customer marketing events
Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required

Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
Detail oriented with strong organization and time-management skills
Analytical mindset and critical thinking/problem solving skills
Self-motivated, independent, and goal oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software
Must be authorized to work in U.S
Some travel will be required. The territory is generally a day trip, with visits to the vendors several times a year
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass employment screenings

Preferred

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree is preferred
3-5 years' experience working in the construction industry as a consulting engineer, contractor, or facility manager preferred
Some background in sales preferred
