Responsibilities
Performs and Records receiving inspections on incoming materials in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Performs and Records in-process inspections on completed sub-assemblies prior to placing into inventory or finished products in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Performs and Records final inspections on finished products prior to shipping in accordance with approved inspection test plans
Quarantines and controls all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
Communicates inspection results with those responsible for meeting specifications
Leverages knowledge of mechanical and welding drawing symbology (AWS & ISO)
Assists in developing incoming, in-process and outgoing inspection plans
Assists in the analysis of Quality Inspection data for Cross-Departmental Meetings
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in a Quality related field, or equivalent experience
Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with dynamic priorities, as assigned by Manager
Ability to be effective with minimal supervision and work as a team member with the Quality and Production Departments
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and weld drawings (AWS, ISO, GD&T as a plus)
Positive attitude towards improving processes through Inspection and Root Cause Analysis
Working knowledge of Metrology and the use of Variable & Attribute Gages
Experience with Optical CMM systems a plus
Experience with Quality Control in a Welding/Fabrication environment, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) as a plus
3+ years working in a Welding/Fabrication environment, or equivalent experience
Intermediate use of Microsoft Office applications (excel spreadsheets, QMS interaction, and data entry)
Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs. throughout the course of a workday
