Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Midtown Group is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to join their team. This temp-to-permanent role focuses on ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property through various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
Inspect building systems and equipment to identify issues proactively
Conduct routine inspections and handle repairs promptly to prevent larger issues
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment life
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and prioritize workload accordingly
Support cleanliness and organization of maintenance storage areas and work sites

Required

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: At least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience in general facilities, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades. Candidates with less than one year may qualify if they have completed vocational or technical training in these areas
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver's License
Substitutions: Vocational or technical training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades can substitute for experience
Ability to work on-site at the designated location
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards

Preferred

Trade certifications or licenses such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are highly preferred
Licenses or certifications in specialized trades (e.g., EPA HVAC certification, electrical licensing) are a plus
