Attorney - Medical Malpractice

The role involves managing a caseload of medical malpractice matters and requires direct client interaction, along with collaboration with a seasoned team of trial attorneys.

Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of medical malpractice matters from investigation through resolution or trial
Work closely with medical experts, review records, and prepare detailed case evaluations
Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft motions and pleadings
Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trial
Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to build strong, evidence-driven cases
Maintain frequent client communication and ensure exceptional service throughout the lifecycle of each case
Qualification
Required
3-10+ years of experience in medical malpractice
Experience with expert discovery, depositions, written discovery, and motion practice
Exceptional communication, analytical, and case management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, paperless, and technology-forward environment
Active Virginia Bar membership in good standing
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
Preferred
Trial experience preferred, or a strong desire to gain substantial courtroom experience
