Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Ensure adherence to federal and state financial regulations, coordinating with auditors and tax advisors to maintain compliance
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets
Manage daily treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring, banking activities, and accounts payable approvals
Supervise general ledger accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and analysis of profit and loss statements to support strategic decision-making
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and contribute to business growth initiatives
Mentor and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and attention to detail in growth and development
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor in strategic planning
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
Minimum of five years of experience leading finance or accounting teams, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Comprehensive understanding of US financial regulations, GAAP accounting, and tax codes
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to operational responsibilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving business needs
Preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Excel, and Avalara is highly desirable
