Payroll Specialist
Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) is currently seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to assist with payroll processing and serve as a backup to the payroll administrator. The role includes responsibilities such as data entry, reviewing time and attendance, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Assisting with payroll processing
Serves as the backup to the payroll administrator
Data entry
Review all time and attendance, hours and earnings and personnel transactions such as new hire, termination, leave of absence, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc
Researching and resolving problems
Liaison with payroll service providers
Document workflow and procedures
Prepare and maintain reports
Provide assistance during audits
Reconcile payroll transactions
Respond to federal and state inquiries
Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Associate degree with a major in accounting, business, or related field and four years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, or a comparable combination of education and experience
Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility
Valid NH Drivers' license, reliable vehicle, and agency-determined minimal motor vehicle insurance coverage are required
Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment physical capacity screening checks are required
Preferred
Experience with automated payroll/HRIS systems, Paylocity preferred
