Amrize is seeking a Benefits Analyst to oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations. The role involves creating and managing benefit programs in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring effective communication and support for employees during their leave process.

Responsibilities

Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans
Create, interpret, and administer benefit and leave programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, State Paid Sick/Family Leave, ERISA, HIPAA)
Work closely with vendor partners and/or employees to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review. Provide guidance to employees who need assistance with the leave process
Maintain communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relay communication between employees and their managers during leave
Research and analyze data to complete Affordable Care Act (ACA) tracking and reporting
Conduct benefits onboarding sessions with new HR business partners
Provide demographic information, census requests, or ad-hoc requests for providers and/or the benefits team
Assist with annual benefits enrolment, including testing of the enrollment system, preparing and/or reviewing employee communications, and acting as the point of contact for HR for enrollment questions
Process weekly health and benefits-related claims invoices
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience
3-5 years in Human Resources and/or Benefits Administration
HR certifications a plus
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Subject matter expert of pertinent federal and state regulations, including FMLA, State PFL/PSL, ACA, COBRA, and other benefits-related regulations
Ability to multitask and drive multiple projects
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information
Demonstrated problem-solving, time management, and priority-setting skills
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test
