Program Office Assistant - San Rafael
Marin Ventures is a community day program operating for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Program Office Assistant is responsible for assisting program leadership staff with administrative tasks and ensuring participant documentation is complete and updated.

Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding services for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Acts as a mandated reporter for abuse and neglect
Maintains a safe and clean environment for the program
Works in partnership with team members during all activities creating a respectful working relationship

Must act as an advocate for participants
Reports accidents and/injuries immediately, or as soon as practical, to a Program Coordinator, the Program Director, or other Directors
May act as a Direct Support Professional as needed
Maintains participant files to meet regulatory requirements and program needs. This includes preparing required documents, collecting completed documents, and managing both paper and digital files
Assisting with management of participant referrals and onboarding of new participants
May assist in any paperwork needs related to participant’s exiting program
Works with program leadership staff to manage the best use of program supplies and equipment
Assists with taking participant attendance, following up with absences, and documenting absences in the online database
Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors to program
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
one year of administrative experience
Knowledge of best practices in working with adults with developmental disabilities
Ability to understand and follow regulations applicable to the agency
Current CPR/FA/AED certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to satisfactorily complete other required trainings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand spoken and written information in English
Intermediate understanding of workplace technology including but not limited to using email, online accounts, Microsoft office, and online databases
Experience managing and organizing paper and electronic files and other administrative information
Must be 18 years or older
Must have current valid CA driver's license for a minimum of 2 years
Must have a fairly clean driving record that meets the agency's insurance company's eligibility requirements
Must be able to pass a federal background check

Regular and consistent attendance
Ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week
Occasionally drive participants in a car provided by the employee or agency vehicle
Regularly reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull objects and lift weighing up to 30 pounds
Ability to push and pull participants in wheelchairs weighing up to 250 lbs
Operate participant lifting equipment
Partake in 2-person transfers lifting participants
Be able to work in both quiet and noisy environments
Wears latex or vinyl gloves regularly for extended periods of time
Preferred
bachelor's degree highly preferred
