Responsibilities
Places orders for forms, clerical supplies, medical supplies, office equipment and medical equipment to appropriate vendors by calling, faxing or electronic mail
Authorizes, unpacks, and verifies all received and ordered supplies against order slip and packing slip
Inventory and restock medical/clerical supply shelves during periodic scheduled inventory control reviews
Ensure orders are received and distributed to correct areas of surgery center
Communicate with vendors regarding orders and service problems, reviews new or alternate supplies
Informs database entry staff of new products and provides them with correct pricing and reference numbers
Orders paper supplies for housekeeping
Provides backup for surgery center processing/aide
Assists with manpower request from staff: ie: under request to assist with physically restraining patients who may require restraint for the safety of other patients/staff
Qualification
Required
