4+ years expKforce has a client that is seeking a Plumbing Designer. The Plumbing and Process Piping Design Team is creating the factory of the future by bringing conceptual designs to life, producing cutting-edge, detailed design of chemical and hydronic utility systems that are fully integrated with manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Design Plumbing and hydronic or process systems that are code complaint, cost-effective, and meet quality and schedule requirements
Manage and coordinate design with other disciplines, resolve design issues creatively
Maintain, lead, and develop/write design standards, plumbing details, specifications, and sequences of operations
Communicate effectively and timely to stakeholders and engineering team
Prioritize and manage heavy workload to ensure high quality and productivity
Understand new project/ticket process and work on several smaller projects a week
Collaborate with end users to gather inputs, host meetings, take notes and be a part of cross functional collaboration
Develop design document standards and exemplars per workflow utilizing Revit MEP fabrication, Revizto, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD
Develop piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) or single line diagram
Present design in 2D and 3D at cross-discipline coordination meetings
Develop a repository for organized delivery of documents
Review drawing package submittals for technical and aesthetic accuracy
Qualification
Required
4-5 years of plumbing design experience leading large-scale projects; Previous industrial/manufacturing building design experience preferred
Expert in: IMC, IPC/UPC, IFC, NFPA
Familiar with the following design and calculations: pipe sizing and static pressure, piping pressure drop, pump selection, NPSH, fuel gas pipe sizing condensate pipe sizing, pump selection, hot water heater sizing and selection, grease waste interceptor sizing, and siphonic system design
Experience as a detailed designer or drafter in Process Piping Design, Mechanical Piping Design, plumbing design, Process Improvement, BIM or Operations within a high-tech industry, such as Petro-Chem, Pharmaceutical, Food and Bev and Semiconductor
Understanding the fundamental of Water distribution, sanitary and vent system, storm system, and medium pressure compressed air system is preferred
Preferred
Previous industrial/manufacturing building design experience preferred
