Responsibilities
Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions
Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions
May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting
Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events
Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training
Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations)
Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success
Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features
Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization
May interact with C level
Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies
Qualification
Required
6 to 10+ years of experience
Ability to engage credibly with CIOs, Research IT, campus HPC leaders, and Principal Investigators
Ability to connect OCI's capabilities to real-world challenges such as scaling AI research, augmenting constrained on-prem clusters, and enabling secure, compliant, and cost-aligned AI adoption across campus
Experience in partnering with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures
Ability to drive Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment
Ability to gather requirements, develop architectures and translate business needs into solutions
Experience in implementing solutions and ensuring successful deployments through code development and scripting
Ability to create and distribute technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations)
Ability to identify gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features
Ability to maintain expertise by staying current on emerging technologies
Preferred
Strong familiarity with R1 research institutions, higher-education IT and research computing ecosystems
Understanding of how universities evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, particularly AI platforms
Knowledge of data-intensive research workflows
Experience with hybrid and federated compute architectures
Strong understanding of research computing, AI workload patterns, data lifecycle considerations, and higher-education funding and budget models

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
