Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for manufacturing, distribution, quality, engineering, safety, maintenance, and procurement
Partner with FP&A and Operations to improve Cost of Sales and Gross Margin forecasting at the product, channel, and plant level
Develop rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and margin scenarios that incorporate volume, mix, yield, labor, overhead, and logistics
Build and enhance:
Forecast modeling and automation (month-end and forward-looking)
Inventory forecasting and turns optimization
Warehouse and distribution cost-to-serve modeling
Standard cost development, maintenance, and validation
Analyze the marginal cost of sale, contribution margin, and cost drivers to identify where operational and sourcing decisions can unlock profitability
Sit in working sessions with:
Production Directors
Engineering Leaders
Supply Chain Planning
Procurement
Distribution & Warehouse Management
Translate operational constraints, capacity, yield, and throughput into financial implications
Help define, build, and automate the KPIs that truly matter on the floor β not just projections, but inventory health, absorption, efficiency, and margin drivers
Partner with operations to ensure the right data exists for standard costing, forecasting, and performance management
Create executive-ready dashboards, models, and presentations that clearly connect operations, inventory, and financial performance
Translate complex data into visuals and insights that drive confident, fast decision-making
Develop reporting that raises the bar in automation, clarity, and strategic value
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus, not required)
3β5+ years of experience in a hybrid environment combining: FP&A, Cost Accounting, or Plant Finance; Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Distribution Analytics
Strong understanding of: Standard costing and absorption; Marginal cost and contribution margin; Inventory and working capital; Gross margin drivers and cost-to-serve
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with large data sets and automation
Ability to partner with and influence operations, engineering, and supply chain leaders
Comfortable bridging P&L, balance sheet (inventory), and operational KPIs
Curious, fast learner who wants to grow into broader finance and operational leadership
Manufacturing finance, Cost of goods sold (COGS), plant finance, operations finance, S&OP/IBP
