This role involves overseeing all aspects of Accounts Receivable operations, managing billing and collections, and leading financial analysis and reporting efforts.

Responsibilities
Report directly to the CFO
Manage and mentor Billing Coordinator
Hire, train, and develop new team members
Oversee all aspects of our Accounts Receivable operations; manage Billing and Collections, Financial Analysis, Systems and Process Improvement, and Reporting
Develop, implement, and lead all aspects of creating an accurate client invoice
Serve as the internal expert on billing-related data flows, systems, and client-facing issues, resolving root causes and eliminating recurring errors
Maintain and hold colleagues accountable to the established billing policies and procedures
Provide daily supervision of the Billing Coordinator and department staff, ensuring all deadlines are met
Monitor aging reports and other metrics to track revenue, identify unpaid accounts, and recommend actions for resolution
Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends that allow for maximum revenue recognition and opportunities to improve processes
Ensure all charges are properly coded in accounting software, Sage Intacct
Prepare and present weekly billing and disputes reporting
Ensure timely monthly close and execution of the billing function
Prepare a comparative monthly analysis of revenue generated
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or data analytics-related areas
7+ years' experience in different aspects of billing functions or accounting
Experience in managing, mentoring, and building a team
Experience in building billing/invoice systems; design and implementation of efficient and accurate billing operations
Experience working with billing internationally (USA, Canada, etc.)
Excellent communication and organization skills, exceptional detail-oriented, driven, team player, and goal-oriented
Available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours
Willing to travel to headquarters once a month and to other locations on an as-needed basis
Preferred
Experience working and knowledgeable in the 3PL space
Knowledge and experience in using different tools to make recommendations
Experience working in startups and fast-paced environments
Lead and manage multiple challenging projects
