Responsibilities
Leverage your process or application engineering skills and manufacturing/production background in the application of friction joining technologies
Investigate and correct process problems identified by internal and external customers
Support customers through the sales, service, contract welding, and equipment manufacturing departments
Integrate systems and production to identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes and methods
Qualification
Required
Process or application engineering skills
Manufacturing/production background or relevant academic experience
Ability to investigate and correct process problems
Support of customers through sales, service, contract welding, and equipment manufacturing departments
Integration of systems and production to identify, develop and implement improvements
Knowledge and understanding of process improvements
Strong organizational skills
Deadline-sensitivity
Problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work effectively with all internal team members and external customers
Preferred
Background in mechanical, manufacturing, welding or metallurgical engineering
Familiarity and functionality with SolidWorks (or another CAD program)
Experience with M2M (or a similar ERP system)
Friction Welding experience
Understanding of interpreting data/trends
Excellent presentation and business skills
Knowledge of quality improvements and innovative ideas
Successfully integrated process background and troubleshooting expertise into fully realized projects
