SUPERVISORY COMMAND POST SPECIALIST
The USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Command Post Specialist at Minot AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities as the Chief, Command Post for the host wing, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of host Wing Command Post ensuring that the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents 5 BW Command Post with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
Oversees Wing Resource Readiness Reporting and Capability Readiness Reporting Manager
Serves as Crisis Action Team (CAT) Member, Manager or Director

A security clearance may be required
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement

Disclosure of Political Appointments
This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement
This is a Centrally Managed position in the Operations Field
The employee must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance as a condition of employment
May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of assigned duties
Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime
This is a PRP Controlled position, Type A. Employee must be certified under the Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability Program IAW DoD Reg 5210.42
Must have successfully completed, or be able to complete within six (6) months of appointment, the Air Force Emergency Management Course
This position is required to participate in providing continuity for the installation EM missions, which may include primary nuclear airlift (PNAF), depending on location
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 (or higher) grade level or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of organization missions and staff management concepts, principles, and methodologies related to military Command Post operations
Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to participate in the assessment and improvement of command level plans and programs for conducting major Command and Control (C2) operations
Knowledge of Air Force and command program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events
Skill to read, comprehend, and interpret command post communications such as operational plans, execution orders, emergency action plans and war orders
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management from an accredited university recognized by the Department of Education is highly desirable
AF Certified Emergency Manager (AFCEM) certification is highly desirable
Completion of the Command Post Manager's course is highly desirable
