Responsibilities

Works with human cell cultures and/or organoids to test novel therapies for anti-cancer properties
Uses elaborate and complex instruments to perform delicate and exacting steps to obtain diagnostic, surveillance, experimental, and reference samples
Performs common and advanced laboratory assays. Performs advanced laboratory assays including but not limited to drug synthesis, characterization, cell viability, western-blot analyses and quantitative polymerase chain reaction
Maintains laboratory databases including recording procedural steps and test results
Maintains laboratory facilities, equipment, and supplies

You must possess general experience in work with human cell cultures and/or organoids to test novel therapies for anti-cancer properties
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social)
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities
The work is predominantly sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there will be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of items of moderate weight such as large binders, banker style file boxes, meeting materials, papers, books or small parts
Hand and eye coordination for delicate testing procedures may be the only special physical demand required to perform the work
