Designing custom fixtures and complex tooling systems
Bringing customer concepts to life through detailed 3D and 2D models using CATIA and other leading design software
Ensuring that designs meet technical specifications and industry standards
Pushing the boundaries of innovation in manufacturing and plant layout validation

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of mechanical design in an automation environment
Demonstrated experience in designing Body-In-White weld fixtures (Resistance Welding) or MIG welding fixtures
Advanced proficiency with CATIA V5 software
Strong familiarity with mechanical design principles and plant layout validation
Proficient in creating detailed 3D models, layouts, and engineering drawings
Working knowledge of industry safety and ergonomic standards
Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
Ability to perform engineering calculations and validate design integrity

Preferred

Additional technical certifications or coursework
Experience with additional design software such as NX, Unigraphics or Inventor
