They are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Leader to oversee and scale the accounting function, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance while leading a growing team.

Responsibilities
Own all core accounting operations, including: General ledger, Accounts payable and receivable, Billing and collections, Cash applications and bank reconciliations, Expense reporting and payroll oversight
Lead preparation and delivery of: GAAP financial statements, Statutory reporting, Investor and management reporting
Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, including: Statutory accountants, External auditors, Tax advisors, Outsourced bookkeeping or accounting vendors
Support regulatory and Department of Insurance reporting requirements
Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight, analysis, and strategic guidance
Identify and implement opportunities for: Process improvement, Automation, Increased efficiency and scalability
Oversee, mentor, and develop a growing accounting team across controllership, reporting, and operational accounting
Continuously evaluate accounting systems and workflows to support business growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
5-8+ years of accounting leadership experience within P&C insurance
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting
Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems
Proven ability to operate effectively in a startup or high-growth environment
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail
