Responsibilities
Analyze, evaluate, and administer comprehensive programs, projects, and support activities directly impacting the effectiveness of the office
Allocate and reprogram resources within the organization as required to accommodate changing conditions
Ensure delivery of quality services through a continuous review of program accomplishments against established objectives
Develop and implement a comprehensive Victim Witness Assistance Program that provide support and assistance to victims and/or witnesses of crime
Ensure all internal controls are properly applied to all transactions to ensure 100% accountability and documentation of disbursement of funds
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progresses
Qualification
Required
You must be a United States Citizen or National
Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable
If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period
You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement
If selected, you will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period unless this requirement has been met previously
To qualify as a GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled
Specialized experience is defined as providing authoritative technical advice and guidance to other victim assistance staff, managers, attorneys, and legal support staff; responding to data calls and required compliance surveys and audits; maintaining financial records, participating in audits and submitting financial reports and documents as required; and developing procedures for identifying, tracking, and managing victim cases
