Responsibilities

Create and maintain SRM Safety Calendars and SRM Safety Planners to support safety awareness and scheduling
Assist in developing SRM Pre-Trip Inspection Books and other safety reference materials
Support safety and risk management projects aimed at improving protocols and workflows
Assist the Workers’ Compensation Unit with case management, documentation, and reporting
Conduct research and compile data to support safety initiatives and training efforts
Collaborate with team members to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks
Participate in regular feedback sessions and Q&A opportunities with the supervisor

Required

Currently enrolled full-time student in a bachelors, masters, or professional level program at an accredited or recently graduated from a North Carolina Historically Black College/University (HBCU) or Minority Serving Institution (MSI) within the past year
24 credit hours completed
Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (on 4.0 scale)
Has legal right to work in the U.S. and do not need sponsorship

Preferred

Pursuing studies in Occupational Safety & Health, Digital Design, Business, or a related field
Strong interest in workplace safety, organizational planning, and safety communications
Experience or coursework in safety, risk management, or digital design
