Supplier Quality Engineer

Mid LevelKatalyst CRO is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality initiatives and material quality performance. The role involves working closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Perform failure analysis and inspection techniques on supplier materials
Support supplier audits, assessments, and source inspections
Evaluate supplier approval status and identify the need for corrective action plans
Interface with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve material quality issues
Initiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Support Supplier Quality Development initiatives
Drive process improvement and continuous improvement activities
Assess supplier processes and capabilities using Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Mentor suppliers to improve quality performance and meet customer requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
Strong experience in Quality Engineering and/or Supplier Quality Engineering
Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
Experience with ISO 9001 standards
Knowledge of PPAP documentation, APQP, Control Plans, and Flow Charts
Experience in data analysis and supplier management
Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement tools
Solid understanding of quality control standards and methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset
