La Voz Community Journalist
The Puerto Rican Cultural Center (PRCC) is seeking a La Voz Community Journalist who possesses excellent writing and storytelling skills. The role involves marketing La Voz, gathering and writing articles, conducting interviews, and managing distribution while ensuring compliance with PRCC's standards.

Marketing La Voz and all PRCC programs
Gathering articles for La Voz
Writing articles
Conducting interviews
Laying out the newspaper
Meeting printing deadlines
Posting La Voz online
Managing La Voz distribution
Documenting events with photos and videos
Maintaining communication with La Voz ad buyers and funders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism
Work/School experience in the social/digital media field
Knowledgeable in Graphic Design, WordPress, web design, or related fields
Knowledgeable in computer troubleshooting (principally on a Mac platform)
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in Spanish and English
Familiarity with web design and content management systems
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively with a diverse set of team members, and learn to perform under tight deadlines
Organizational and time-management skills
In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Works independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, non-judgmental, open personal qualities, and a clear sense of boundaries
