DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR WARFIGHTING EFFECTIVENESS, ASSESSMENTS, AND READINESS

Responsibilities
You will delegate authority to subordinate managers/supervisors and provide expert advice and recommendations to senior leadership (flag officers, SES) on warfighting improvements; and implement COMPACFLT’s warfighting strategy
You will serve as the principal advisor to the N9WAR Director, and the Director, Maritime Headquarters, for analysis relating to warfighting improvement initiatives, and the implementation of new technology and tactics, techniques, and procedures
You will ensure analysis, fleet experimentation, wargaming and exercises lead to tangible results in meeting COMPACFLT’s intent in the execution of warfighting strategy
You will identify areas for improvement in training, tactics, techniques and procedures, and then implement and assessing these improvements comprehensively throughout USPACFLT
You will lead efforts for the CNO’s Global Wargaming series focused on COMPACFLT’s highest priority warfighting concepts and challenges
You will Work closely with Naval War College senior leadership and wargame leaders to ensure wargames are developed and executed to meet COMPACFLT warfighting requirements
You will participate in the design, development, measures of effectiveness, and execution of integrated high-end warfare exercises and Fleet Battle problems
You will determine fleet-wide program goals and develop execution plans for the organization that directly impact COMPACFLT’s warfighting improvement initiatives
You will allocate COMPACFLT resources (e.g., personnel, schedules, tasking, experimentation and exercise budgets, and personnel travel) for most effective return on investment
You will Implement new COMPACFLT operational level warfighting initiatives resulting in substantive enhancements in programs and policies throughout the DON and other federal agencies

Must be determined suitable for federal employment

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing joint multi-domain warfighting operations (e.g., assessments, concepts, operations, capabilities, experiments, exercises) and identifying and implementing areas of improvement (e.g., training, tactics, techniques, procedures, resources) to optimize warfare operations

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
