REALTY SPECIALIST (DOCUMENT EXAMINER)

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, control and review the work of employees and other Corps offices engaged in the acquisition of real property and relocation of persons displaced in connection with projects
Review and monitor overall project execution and makes adjustments as necessary based on circumstances and priorities
Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policy into the development of projects within the program
Allocate project funds and monitors performance to assure commitments are being maintained for all projects
Ensure that individual project objectives, milestones and budgets are accomplished within the overall program objectives
Maintain close liaison with the customer, Department of Justice, State and local government officials, local interest groups and others

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) researching and reviewing real property title and drafting real estate documents required for the planning and acquisition of real estate; AND 2) communicating with management and other interested parties concerning real estate activities, problems and resolution
Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%

Travel may be required up to 50% of the time

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
One year trial/probationary period may be required
Direct deposit of pay is required
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees
