Employment Specialist Lead
The NC State Highway Patrol is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our Personnel Unit as an Employment Specialist Lead. The role involves serving as a subject matter expert in the recruiting processes and providing guidance on proper recruiting practices.

Responsibilities
Documenting on-boarding and filing documentation for accuracy
Provides guidance and advice on proper recruiting processes
Serves as a liaison between employees, management , and outside partners
Ensure clear communication and timely exchange of information
Educates and advises all partners on best practices to ensure both state and federal compliance
Preparing salary packages for approval while using all aspects of salary administration
Meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Adapt to sudden priority changes that may occur within the department
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution
2 years of experience required; OR 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; OR equivalent combination or education and experience
Demonstrated working knowledge of applying and interpreting personnel policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience with Workday and or similar applicant tracking systems
Demonstrated experience with posting positions
Demonstrated experience with screening for qualifications
Demonstrated experience working in HRIS systems entering personnel actions
Must undergo and successfully pass a Criminal Background Investigation
Must undergo and successfully pass a Drug Screening Test
