Responsibilities

Manage and supervise staff to help ensure effective operations
Manage and/or perform the reconciliation of accounting ledgers
Responsible for daily activities; to include, financial reporting, analyzing data, records, track and audit financial information
Ensures that all major projects, month-end, and year end reports are completed accurately and on time
Is a resource to staff with respect to financial information associated with all departmental programs
Process weekly subsistence payments for corrections clients according to scheduled formulas established by the Department of Corrections and the Director of Finance
Prepare and distributes weekly Balance Sheet and Chart of Accounts report
Prepare and distribute weekly statements
Prepare monthly reports to all corrections programs and contractual entities
Reconcile billing accounts weekly/monthly
Post client’s savings, withholding taxes, FICA, and program costs in GW Connect
Pro-rate program cost when client exits work release program
Prepare recap sheet for case manager when client exits work release program
Prepare and cut check for money due at end of the work release program
Reconcile accounts receivable to the general ledger; prepare journal entry template

Associate of Arts/Science degree, or some college and equivalent work experience
