Responsibilities
Inspect various mechanical parts utilizing traditional precision measuring tools/equipment, optical, layout, visual, CMM, Romer Arm, Laser Tracker
Maintain proper documentation including lot history reports, nonconforming materials reports, returns and inspection logs, NCR’s
Maintain and log calibration of all inspection tools
Adherence to company policies and ISO Standards
Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management
OT and travel may be required
Must be able to follow 6s, quality and safety standards
Qualification
Required
Fluent with precision measuring equipment including, but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauges and profilometers
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Basic computer knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with calibration process
Has the knowledge and capability to read and interpret blueprints, written requirements and specifications, process properly and enter information into the network project folders
Excellent oral and communication skills
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Attention to detail, self-motivated and creative problem-solving skills
Minimum 2+ years' experience inspecting metal materials and assemblies to close tolerances
Minimum high school/trade school graduation required
Preferred
Knowledge of CMM operation PC-DMIS metrology Software experience a preferred
