Start in 2026 SummerKiewit is a leading construction and engineering company, and they are seeking a Structural Engineer Intern to join their Design Engineering Services Group. The intern will be involved in producing and reviewing structural design calculations and conducting analyses using engineering software.

Produce simple structural/bridge design calculations
Review and check structural/bridge design calculations
Analysis using structural engineering software
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil or Architectural Engineering (with Structural emphasis) from an ABET accredited college or university
GPA above 3.0 preferred
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiar with basic structural analysis software and engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, SAP2000, RISA-3D etc
Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Good written and verbal communication skills
Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
