Responsibilities
Act as the Level 2/3 support lead for production outages
Dive into the code (Java/.NET/Python) to identify logic errors and propose code-level fixes
Work directly with business users to understand the 'Why' behind a production issue
Translate user frustrations into technical requirements and actionable Jira tickets for the development team
Lead the 'Post-Fix' validation process
Design and execute smoke tests and regression suites to ensure that production patches do not introduce new regressions
Proactively build monitoring dashboards (Splunk/Dynatrace) and write automation scripts (Python/Shell) to reduce manual 'toil' and prevent recurring incidents
Provide clear, non-technical updates to leadership during 'War Room' scenarios while providing detailed technical logs to the dev team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of IT experience with proven past roles as a Developer (coding/debugging), Business Analyst (requirements/mapping), and QA Engineer (testing/test plans)
Ability to read and debug code in at least one major language (Java, C#, or Python)
Expert-level SQL for data investigation and integrity checks
Command-line proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and the ability to distinguish between a 'System Bug' and a 'Business Process Gap.'
Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk (or ELK), and Jenkins
