Responsibilities
Monitor, analyze, and resolve DataStage job failures
Unlock and manage stalled or failed DataStage jobs and sessions
Perform code migrations across environments
Coordinate with IBM Support for tool-related issues
Analyze job failures at both application and Unix server levels
Develop, debug, and maintain shell scripts
Analyze and troubleshoot Unix job failures
Review and enhance Shell and Python code for operational efficiency
Take corrective actions for batch failures (kill, force-complete, hold, rerun, etc.)
Configure and manage SAP and Unix jobs
Perform calendar updates and workload policy creation
Install and upgrade Control-M agents
Manage new agent installations
Configure and maintain PagerDuty integrations and alerts
Ensure timely response and resolution of batch and application incidents
Work with maps, mailboxes, and FTP scripts
Analyze and troubleshoot custom Java programs supporting integrations
Configure, debug, and support stored procedures on MS SQL Server
Work closely with database teams to resolve data and performance issues
Qualification
Required
6–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage
Strong understanding of Unix/Linux servers
Proficiency in Shell scripting, Cron jobs, and job scheduling
Solid experience with relational databases
Working experience in Python programming
Expertise in creating, debugging, and maintaining shell scripts
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Clear written and verbal communication skills
High level of ownership and accountability for production support
Preferred
Good understanding of the Snowflake platform
Experience with Control-M workload automation
Exposure to Gentran or similar B2B integration tools
