Guest Services - Golf Operations at Origins Golf Course

The St. Joe Company is seeking members for their Outside Service Team at Origins Golf Course. The role involves providing exceptional service to guests, maintaining the golf course, and ensuring a positive first impression through various responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests and members in a friendly manner
Anticipate and meet the needs of each guest whenever possible
Be accessible and available to assist in any station of need
Run food and beverages to guests
Prepare carts for operations and maintain the cart fleet
Clean and inspect the rental sets; report any deficiencies to the professional staff immediately
Load clubs and equipment onto carts for guests
Transport all golf clubs from the receiving area to the staging areas in preparation for play
Maintain the washing, cleaning, and stocking of our golf cart fleet
Prepare and maintain the driving range
Monitor and clean the short game and long game practice areas
Clean the range and retrieve balls
Maintain golf course grounds
General restroom cleaning along the course
Ensure there are clean and folded towels available
Monitor the towel, scorecard, pencil, and golf tee supply
Maintain an organized and clean bag room operation
Monitor the parking lot
Equipment Drop Attendant
All other duties as assigned

Required

Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
Previous experience in the golf industry preferred
Previous customer experience preferred
Detail oriented and thorough
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
Ability to drive a golf cart
Basic knowledge of golf operations
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to solve conflicts individually
Ability to work as part of a team effectively and efficiently
Ability to spend entire shift on feet and walking (sometimes running)
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel while handling equipment
Ability to perform repetitive motions such as cleaning, retrieving balls, or setting up areas
Fast-paced, outdoor work environment, may include indoor as needed
Exposure to the elements to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and sun
Potentially noisy environment due to golf carts, equipment, and active driving range

Preferred

Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
Previous experience in the golf industry preferred
Previous customer experience preferred
